Changing alternator.

My alternator died on me after everything else thats been going wrong. I finally fixed all my other problems and then driving home yesterday my alt went and the car died. bought a new alt and began changing it. can someone tell me why chevy uses those stupid star shaped allen key bolts on there cars? What a pain in the a**. I got all the bolts out but that one, i didnt have the right end piece and now i kind of f***** up the bolt and am having a problem getting it out of the car. just that one lowsey bolt it sucks.

Because chevy, or GM in general, are ******** that didn't make our cars to be worked on by the average joe. Working on my car this past week, I realized how retarded the engineers were when they designed the 3.4L engine and components, and also made me think it would be worthwhile to get a hotrod kit car with more engine room and have an engine that's able to be worked on with some room to spare.

At least now I know if I ever change my alt I'm going to need some of those star head sockets.

it's because they had issues with stripped heads (that was a designers idea of a fix) get a battery too yours will be bad (regular car batteries hate being discharged)
