check engine code how to ??

ok i am sure its been discused here but i cant find it...

i have a 1996 camaro v6 3.8l ...and i want to read the check engine code...i know that i can use a jump wire to read them but dont know wich pin to hook?

help please

uhh go to schucks or autozone and get a free diagnotics as I did, I threw a code on my MAF after I cut out the bottem of my airbox and got it deleted and its fine now

get a haynes manual they have the diagram of where to hook, as well as a list of codes (Canadian Tire may also scan it but not positive)

Almost any autoparts store will run a scan for trouble codes for free. Thats what I'd do. If you lived closer to me, I'd let ya use code scanner

they have them at autozone and shucks, at schucks they let me do it myself

well i am in canada..we dont have free service like that here...and even less service where i am....New-Brunswick sucks
