I noticed today that everyso ofter when im going down the road my check guages light come on, stays on a few seconds than shuts off?? whats up with this? I checked the oil and everything and its good. my car doesnt feel any different when it comes on?

the check gauges one only? how's the gas? could be a bad sending unit,keep an eye on when it happens maybe hitting a bump triggers it that would indicate short

Yea only that light. I have gas in it atleast 1/4 tank all the time, i run 94 in it also. I will pay attention to it and see exactly when it comes on.

some are set to come on at just under a quarter tank (never run at a quarter tank in a fuel injected gm car unless you want to replace your fuel pump)

Are you sure thats what it could be, my 3.8 check guages light never came on when i was low on gas

it's very possible your 3.8 got better millage so it didn't need as much reserve, am I positive that's it no it could even be the pcm

pray you find something else, only sure way is to swap it with one you know is good (a scan tool can get you in the ball park but to verify you have to swap it out)

allright, im thinking about taking it up to a garage next week somethin to run a diagnostic test on it because i think there is somethin eletrical shorted out, the horn and washer fluid didnt work since i got it, i checked it all fuses are good and its hooked up.

take it to the dealer you got it from, for teh price you paid it should be in perfect shape

yeah but no horn or washer fluid it fails safety inspection (even states that don't require testing have those as basic requirements)

My check gauges light comes on when I get a little above the empty gas line.

I'd take it back to the place you got it from and have them fix it, its to new a purchase for things to being going wrong with it.

gm specifies 50 miles worth of gas when it comes on, definatly something is wrong with the car
