Sorry it took so long paar. Been kinda busy layely.
You should be ableto find it at all those store mentioned, especially the auto stores. Should come as a claybar and detail spray. The detail spray acts as a lubricant.
Spray an area and wipe with the claybar. Dont use too much pressure, only enough so you dont lose the bar. Let the bar do the work. It really doesnt take much wiping. Then move on to the next area. Make sure the areas your doing is lubricated, youll know when you need to spray more the clay will stick to the car. Fold and knead the bar often. You dont want to scratch your car with the stuff you just scraped off. And NEVER, I repeat, NEVER use the clay after you dropped it. Throw it away. You can cut the bar in half or thirds whatever you feel you need to work with. Itll go a little farther that way cause your bound to drop it once and a while.
Obviously wash the car before and I even wash again after clay. Then youll need to wax it cause the clay will take the wax off.
Thats it. Your car should be as smooth as a babies a$$...

Well put Jesse. It's amazing what a good clay will do. It's hard to really see the difference but do a section and run your finger's over it. It'll be as smooth as glass, then run your finger's over a section you haven't clayed yet and it'll be lick running your finger's across concrete. It's a huge difference and well worth it because like Jesse said, it's really not a lot of work.
I'm going to clay my car this weekend along with a good wax and such before I put it away for the year.

Ya, I would use a micro fiber towel. I dont get too particular cause I wash again after clay just to make sure I dont have any clay residue left on the car. Its almost inevidable (I dont know if thats a word or not) that you will wipe outside of the spray area and stick the clay a little.

Most Wal-Mart's don't carry the claybars. Auto parts stores do, but around here they only carry Mother's. I had to order my Meguiars off their site.

it pulls the garbage out of the paint, doesn't actually clean it, but helps with cleaning
