replacing a clutch by yourself is a PITA, but with a few friends and a Haynes manual, it can be done in a day.....just follow the manual accordingly, it's really straight-forward, and remember to get the flywheel re-surfaced if you arent replacing it as it will wear your new clutch out fairly quick
I must've pulled my trans ten times by now. Clutch replacement isn't hard really. I got a replacement clutch from Advance Auto a few years back, it was like 125 bucks for the pressure plate, clutch plate and throwout bearing.
Even had an alignment tool with it. "Rhino" clutches, I think was the brand. It was holding behind my 400 before I swapped it out in favor of something stronger. And yeah, like everyone else said, get your flywheel cleaned up and a new pilot bushing while you have it apart. -Good Luck!!
