Cold Air?

hey guys does cold air intake really do anything? I was always under the impression that cold air intake is pretty whimpy, but this one guy i was talking to the other day said on his 95 Z that the cold air intake he put on it helped alot in performance.

it helps if done right, a guy on my gp board got slower becasue he picked up air from under the hood. you want a fenderwell type and seal it off from the engine heat expect about 5-10 hp, but it makes other mods work better

If you can help the engine breath you make more power, simple as that.

For the LT1 car the nicest looking and most efficient unit I have used is the SLP Cold Air Intake. You see this item on our website here.

That's the one I had on my '94 and I could feel a slight difference with just the CAI.

I have SLP and just bought it for looks. I have a pic of mine on my Photo page on my site. I painted it deep cherry red instead of the color it came Black.
