I asked because I was getting close to 30 highway with my Z when it was mostly stock... The 6spd cars actually get pretty good mileage considering whats under the hood- to only be a couple mpg behind with having almost 2 more liters is pretty good IMO..

I do drive like grandma, I dove all the way to work one day(to i69 change to 475 change to 75 and get off at holly rd and drive to work from there) with out ever breaking 2000 rpms. I have a long drive, any gas I can save helps.

Didnt see your post force fed z; i had no idea the z's got that kinda mileage, do the autos get that kinda mileage too? i dont think i could do a stick for a DD, I did for a while and hated it, fun weekend car but not a DD for me.

The factory tachs are typically off in the cars- both of mine were off by 200 rpms..

Guess that explains it. Anywho, new thought, (thread jacked btw) how come it seems like all other v6 4th gens can do a one wheel peel, and I cant. I tried, like really tried a few times yesterday with no avail, whats the deal?

Well I'm not sure sure- either you are down on power, or not doing it correctly.

Just step on the brake, then add the power and slowly let off the brake until the wheels start to spin- its really not that hard at all... I'm sure having the higher gears doesn't help either-

Thats what I did, wheel never spins, the whole car moves, i tried and tried, no luck.

Phate said something about a nutrual drop, havent done it, but it sounds terible for the trans/rear end. Whats that about?
