Confused and need guidance

Well 2 weeks ago i smashed up my camaro did about 7,400 worth of damage i'm gonna be getting my car back and 5 grand but now i need a new car... so if i buy another 97 i will have all the parts for it so i can pick up a car for cheap. But what year can i use my parts for since its a v6 97? body's screwed up and the frames bent but other then that its in fricken perfect condition. is it worth getting another camaro or just buy a new fricken car?

The engine parts can work on any of the 97- later v6 Camaro's, or RS's with the 3.8... The body parts (what's left at least) can be used on any 93-97. I would suggest getting another 93-97 with a 3.8 in it, so you can utilize as much of the wrecked Camaro as possible.

Or part everything out, sell it on eBay or something, save enough, and get whatever kind of car you want.... z28?

yeah, basically any 93-97 will match the body.. engine wise, some 95s have 3.8s otherwise 96 and up have 3.8s.

What type of parts are you talking about?

That thing is messed up.... Are you OK?

But yeah, salvage what you can whatever you decide. One thing is- don't trade it in at a dealer for a new car. Biggest rip-off IMO, you could get a lot out of what is left...

forgot to mention most suspension is cross compatible.. Seats will fit, but I personally think theyre going to be about the same, no reason to really change them unless tehyre leather or somthing.

tranny i believe will, and your calipers should too... Im pretty sure the spacing and everything is the same.

yeah i read suspension will and the seats will so that means i can take them into to get leather so it wont be a rush job maybe a little discount. and calipers i believe wont fit because the replacement parts that i looked at weren't the same numbers. neither was the fuel pump. i would like to make a list when i have time on **** that will work and wont. but i got the car back today and she runs just as fine as she did before. so if anyone gets me a definite on the calipers i will prolly be selling off most the junk i don't need.
