coolant fan question

Whats up guys and gals long time no see

I got a question about my coolant fan, i heard a while ago that there is a sensor that turns my fan on automatically. DOes anyone know what this sensor is called and where it is located? Thanks for your help

Camarocam street rep is low. keep going
Unless it is aftermarket I am think it is in the thermostat housing where the upper radatior hose comes off the block there is a plug that is where the sesor is.

It's called a thermal fan switch, and it's located it passenger side cylinder head between plugs 6 & 8 just under the exhaust manifold.
