couple tricky quiestions

ok im shure u herd my plans of dropping a 4.3L vortec in my camaro and caming it to acks like a car motor. from the amount of machanics iv talked to its totaly possable.i was also told the belhousing would fit however my tranny isnt all that healthy. now where i have a th700(i think?) and that 4.3 will mate to it dose that mean i can buy a richmond 5 speed( or whatever) with the same bolt patern as a th700 and have it work? and for exast im ganna run edlebrock headers and my freind(local machanic)has a pipe bender is there enough room to have him bend me true duals on my third gen? is this my best exaust option? i ask becasue i dont think iv seen a third gen with true duals. over all whee aiming for 320-350ish HP 300 would be nice. i think im ganna need to chang my rear end(it has 202,000 miles on it) i heard some where a 4th gen rear end will fit with some modifications im putting it up f9or the winter so i will have all inter to work on this. i do under stand i can go to the local junkyard and pick up a old 350 for 200 buckis that runs but i wanna try this first. SUDGESTIONS WANTED. just looking for some info

I dont really understand what your asking. There is so much gibber jabber in there. The only question I really got out of it that pretty much anyone here would know was about the true duals on the 3rd gen. In of that fact I do not know. I know you cannot on a 4th though, regardless if that is of any help or not.

any trans that came with an s10 (the vehicle the engine is probably from) will bolt up. There is enough room to do duals if all pipes are bent for the car. The 4th gen rear internally is the same as the 3rd gen so the swap would gain you nothing but work. the transmissions have different bolt patterns for different engines (the 4.3 would be different than say a 3.4)

True duals can be done, they just don't run down each side of the car like older cars. I have seen dual 3" on a 4th gen- it was a tight fight, but it was on there.

I'm still not sure why you want to drop a 4.3 in your car with all the work involved. It seems like a bunch of extra effort to try and make parts work in a car that wasn't designed for them and still have a V6 in the end.

A 4th rear-end will fit, but the width is different. You are still going to be plauged by a weak-rear end. If you are going to put in a different rear-end you might as well put in something worth it IMO.

i can answer a few of those ?'s.
just do a single 3" exhaust instead of duals. they aren't worth the work, time, or money.
a 4th gen rear end would be a nice swap b/c they are cheap, probably have lower miles, and are more dependable. but like joe said if your putting a new rear end in it you may as well go crazy and get something besides a weak 10 bolt

well the duals would be cheap i would buy the 3'' tubing and have my ferind bend it all to fit and buy mufflers. im pritty shure the s10(blazer) has a th700 trans wich my car has right? so it would bolt up? the only problem i wanted to go with a manual trans and blazers never came with a standard so i doono ill make it work i have all winter to figure it out
