Question Difficulty of installing a complete airbag system on a Camaro?

How hard would it be to install an airbag system? Is this something I can do myself (along with help) or will I have to take it to a shop?

Thanks

I guess it would depend on how much you want to get into and how good you are with workin on stuff. Lets face it, some people just can't turn a wrench let alone figure out which end to use. I would say the biggest factor in that is you and what tools you have access to-

I wouldn't be afraid to tackle a project like that if that counts for anything.

I rather just lower it but that isn't an option. Air ride won't really hurt street or auto X performance, but I might as well give up the idea of going to the track with bags.

Ok it seem their are a couple kinds of kits out there. Their are ones that come with 1/2 and 3/8 line and the other option is something called electric kits with FAST AIR or just normal kits.

get bigger lines if you plan on using it to raise and lower the car, the electric kits I'm not familiar with (unless it's the whole kit with the switches for teh bags)

umm i only know one company that does it other tahn airride and their real high.. but dude.. its gonna hurt your performance everywhere..

you will get hella body roll.. so forget auto x

and the front to back roll/sway will be killer so forget drag.. will ride very nice on the street though..

o and i know quite a bit about turning wrenches. but i would do it on my own

you also have to knwo about wiring too.. lots of that involved from what i understand..

I can't seem to comprehend a way that a full air ride suspension would help your performance. just not as sturday structurally as springs and shocks. gotta go with 2poor4z on this one.
