and the real hp difference among the major brands is less than the variance of a dyno

maganaflow is a good choice, but i love my SLP Loudmouth. Especially at idle, I just love how it sounds. Never been to fond of the flowmaster exhaust. My favorite exhaust is the Borla, and I'd so trade my exhaust in for a Borla if I could get a decent price.

It seems the TSP rumbler is the exhaust of choice at CV6

Gas Mileage
V6 > LS1

Insurance for an 18 year old
V6 > LS1

Its the more practical choice for me at least.

Yea I know, I owned a 3.8 previously. They definatly have the potential but nothing beats the sound of the v8.

well i LOVED my 3.4 at idle. especially after my cam. but past half throttle or anything above 2500 rpm was so gay. get a magnaflow and keep everything else stock it will keep the rasp and **** down.

heres my clip for the dude interested. this was a cam, ported heads, stock manifolds, gutted cat, flowmaster muffler:

Why would you post on that worthless...dont know **** site? lol

Custom, Magnaflow, Elderblock, TSP, SLP are your best choices to go for on a 3.8l. As stated no matter what you put on you will have rasp at some level or point.

Gas Mileage: V6<LS1

Insurance: V6>LS1 (depending on your state and record)

The v8's get better highway mileage than the 3.8's, i'll have to find the thread about it, but its true. If it tells you anything crazylegs, I get about 12mpg on my 3.8L.

I average 24mpg, I filled my tank up drove around like normal and did the math. Then again as cars age they suck down gas crazily. My old 4 cylinder 100HP van got like 10mpg haha.

If its a 6 speed, I may be able to believe its close, but theres no way. They have similar, if not, the same size gas tanks and ones going to be feeding two more cylinders. I got close to 30mpg was my best trip last year to csf.
