ebay intakes

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...974675975&rd=1

the stage 1 has a filter right where the stock airbox is, but this one is the stage 2 and has the filter go down into the fender well like a true cold air intake. this particular one is for my engine, but they've got one for all 93-97 engines. i know brian has one, and i was curious if this is worth 50 bucks? (yeah they charge 20 bucks to ship...f**kers)

They only charged true S&H quote when I bought it awhile ago. Personally, the way I see it, the actual intake is all the same, this one is pretty good and wide compared to some other intakes I've seen that are plastic and have like dimples and **** in it that I would think would be bad... when I change my filter, I'm gonna just buy the K&N filter for it and tada perfect CAI.

I wouldn't pay that much for it heck teh gp just has some pvc pipe all you'd have to do is paint that black and slap a k&n sticker on it and your good to go

if it's painted you'd never know and save some money for other parts where it makes a difference

exactly, if you can do really nice homemade pieces, then why pay the big bucks?

When I bought my FIPK it was missing some pieces, mainly the little tube. So we just got some PVC plastic pipe, painted it metallic/anodized blue and it looks great.

yea man, homemade parts are the way to go on stuff that doesnt matter all that much. i just put my sisters cd player in my car from her 99 mercury cougar cause i dont have any money and i want a cd player, works perfect and fits pretty well considering its a ford deck in a chevy.lol. save money for the stuff that really matters.

You wanted a picture of the ebay intake I have, here's two of them... not that good but when I go to the cruise tomorrow I'll take pics during the day when the light's right.

looks fine to me. as long as it's not stock, it's ok. intakes don't rally do much for power anyway in the big scheme of things. so gaining 3 hp instead of 5 hp, for an extra $150 doesn't make any sense to me. I can put that towards a nitrous kit. lol
