Hey do the chips really work for our cars? i saw in the jegs magazine today they had a jet prefromance chip there was 2 stages, anyway it said adds 25 hp. the 1st was for stock and 2nd was for modified and off road use
does anyone have one? how bout the 2nd stage thats the only one i saw for the 96, why off road though?

well actually the 93s had removable chips so you could get one for that. but i've asked the same thing about JET chips on camarov6.com. they all say they've experienced some gains with the stage 2 on a stock car, however when you go to modify your engine it stats to screw up...its weird. also the gains are only really felt on automatics, mainly because the increase in transmission line pressure. so basically is a waste of money...i'm just gonna put that $250 towards some headers. that will probably get you more of an increase than the chip.

There are many places out there that can lead you in the right direction to help you tune the car with LT1 edit. But you can literally adjust EVERY aspect of the engine. But I look at it this way-
at least $150 for a used Hypertech that you hope the original owner put back to stock...
-OR-
$199 for the expert version of LT1 edit.
Seems pretty simple to me- get LT1 edit and you do all that the hypertech does and more-

I'm just sayin that is possible to have LT1 edit and be able to work on the car-
Considerin computer prices these days you could buy a used desktop to put out in the garage and buy LT1 edit for the $350 you would spend on a new Hypertech-
BUT for those of you who don't really know that much about the specifics of tunin a car the Hypertech is better since it gives you options-
