EFI Live Diagnostic software
Anyone used it? I noticed they have a lot of optimizations for the LS1/6 engines, but has anyone tried it with the 3800 Series II? Or recommend something other than EFI Live?
I'm a computer geek at heart and I'm in the processes of building a small in car computer under the driver seat. Gonna tie in GPS w/map, MP3 playback, DVD Playback, wifi hotspot detection, and engine diagnostic and readout all from the single unit. Doing it this way gives me a lot of options and its all cheaper than buying all the units, and saves a LOT of space.
I should be done with it in about a month, I'm still scrounging for cheap parts on ebay. I'm pretty excited about the possibilities, and i'll be posting picts and how-tos when i'm done.. And possibly offering to build em ready to be installed for anyone interested.
I've already got the ram, the laptop harddrive, laptop dvd rom drive, and software.
Quick overview of the parts involved:
The ITX VIA motherboard with C3 processor
The DC-DC Power supply with ignition sensing
The Case
GPS usb Reciever
7" VGA LCD to mount on the dash.
