does anyone know if this is this the same block thats in the camaros i believe this is from a grand prix or something but not sure

Do as Arch recommended. Contact the seller and ask if it is from an fbody or wbody (Grand Prix, Grand Am's). The wbody motor is front wheel drive, and the motor setup is completely different.
i actually have a front wheel drive 3.8 in my car, you just need to change the oil pan and valve covers and intake and fly wheel and gaskets to the f-bodys. other than that it should be the basic L36 engine block.
i ended up blowing my 3.8 and when ordered a new one that what i had to do to make it work with my f-body. but do your research to be sure of things.
