Exhaust

I keep going back and forth. Right now I'm not sure if I should do the side exhaust, it will end up costing a good amount and be a lot of work that I can't do. I'll have to take it to my brother's and have him cut and weld the pipes. I don't like have other people do my work .

So should I go ahead with the side exhaust and not be done for awhile or should I order a true dual exhaust and be done in a week?

Anything worth it is not going tobe easy. Everyone does true duals... be unique. Side exiting if done right would look so hot.

true duals are overrated and overdone...i'm with grant on this one..if you can wait to do the side exhaust and do it right it will be worth it..

my exhaust plans are going to be unique and a major PITA but will be worth it in the end..

I understand where you are both coming from but I have VERY little free time now and tons of plans so I have to scale back somewhere or I'll never be able to enjoy my car since it'll always be in the garage in peices.

Side exhaust Chad! Ive been wanting to see your car with side exhaust, with your hood, and if you mold it into gfx... your car will be a money shot.

I vote side, not dual. Projects take time... Youll be more satisfied in the end I think.

Ok, I'm thinking about getting the true duals with chammbered mufflers instead of the bullets for now and then when I have the time converting it to a side exhaust. This way I'll have most of the piping as well as the x pipe already. This way I can actually have a good sounding exhaust right now and still get my side.

Chad,
are you doing just a side exiting before or after the wheels or are you looking at true side mounting like the older vettes had?
That would be coooool!
If your doing the side exit, before or after wheels, I guess Id say go with true duals then.

No, not poor Chad. Because it's my car and I'll do it how I want it even if no one else likes it.

At first I was going to do it like the old 'Vette's but I found a fourth gen Camaro with it and it look horrible even though he did a good job on the install so I'm going to have it exit right in front of the rear tires.
