exhaust problem

seems like problem after problem with my car latly.. im doing a tune up tomorrow on my car (plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, and an oil change) if its sunny/nice out. now with the problem.. where the exhaust manifold connects to the y-pipe there is these exhaust donuts.. and they keep cumbling and it keeps leaking from this same area time after time.. first time i used the stock one, second a differnt bigger one.. and this one right now i modified myself and used some metal sleaves on one end so it wouldnt leak. but that failed now to ( i put it in around december) any ideas on what i should do now?

find out why it's disintigrating so fast, could be the bolts aren't holding, do you still have the bolts with springs on it?

bolts with springs? iv never seen those before.. never were on the car when i got it.. could it be from over-tightening?

maybe, the bolts for the manifold are supposed to have springs on them so that if the exhaust moves it doesn't kill the donut

hmm as far as i know the manifold bolts are the original ones..(minus one because it is broken in the head) but its not leaking at all from the manifold just where it connects to the y-pipe.

ok.. got some more information, my dad owned the car before me... and he had some exhaust work done on the car because of leaks.. the guy that worked on the car told my dad he couldn't fit the original bolts back in so he was using some other bolt. my dad not knowing they were special bolts just said ok. so basicly i need to find someplace i can get those bolts
