exhaust routing: kenny brown subframes and true duals

figured id try here since this exhaust question got moved to 'chasis' on cz28.com where it will never get answered

Can it be done?

First of all ill clarify what i plan to do. I plan to have two exhaust setups since i dont think i will be happy with one. I want to keep the single three inch for emissions and daily driving, but ill have a custom y-pipe that will flange at the collectors and right before the cutout so its entirely out of the way. For 'race use only' i want to have a set of 3" duals with an x-pipe and bullets that dump somewhere before the axle.

My question is, can they fit? i yet to come across any pictures of a car with KBDDs and true duals. my primary concern is that connector in the middle - drive shaft safety or whatever it is. First, is that thing necessary its never been under any stress when i unbolt it. if it is, i guess i could weld up a custom one to run the pipes over... or are there any aftermarket pieces?

thanks in advance

ive determined the tunnel brace (wavy piece to be unnecessary). does that leave enough room to run duals along the sides of the driveshaft? (not directly alongside obviously, just tucked)

how big a pipe you wanting? buy a couple pieces of short pipe and see how you can make them fit, should cost only a couple bucks

My question is why do that all that custom work for no real gain in performance? Is it just to say that you have it??

You will be addin more weight that will only offset any additional gains, MAYBE 1 hp if you already have a decent cat-back.

2Poor4Z is an unknown quantity at this point
if you want a race only setup to dump to at the track why dont you just do an electronic cutout and either run it straight off the headers or even straight off the cat? the cat will provide you with a little back pressure.. and when closed the system will still be emissions legal
