They have been proven to get the same gain if not more then what the intakes are on the 93-97 models. If you just get a Whisper Lid and no ram-air intake you will notice a difference in accel I did because that lid made that much of a difference. Then you add in the ram air and that brings in ALOT more cold air then you think. Do you even know how there installed? Where there placed?

Ram-Air hoods are differnt from the ram air intakes....The hoods bring in the cold air onto the top of the engine where a filter sits.....Ram air inatkes suck it in from under the car into the CUSTOM CUT HOLES u make (those CRACKS caleb said) That goes into the Lid or aftermarket lid for much better air flow and way improved accel and power.

You cut out the bottom and you instantly get a lot more air in there.

Yup....as shown in these pics. You cut out around those dotted lines there and under that is where the intakes slides down and sucks up all that air!
