Found my coolant leak...

Yep. Went for a drive today and found it ... I don't know how I didn't see it before, but there is a 2 inch crack in the left side of the radiator, and it shoots out antifreeze like no tommarow. I'm guessing this means I need to just get a new one ... Anyone know where the best place to get a new oem radiator? Or aftermarket ... Whatever works. Thanks guys.

Summit and Jegs have them new for 4th gens. They are pricey though, if you are on a budget you might as well go junkin or ebayin..

Save your pennies and go for a good quality radiator. Be Cool makes a pretty nice direct replacement piece.

mine had a crack on the back side, u can actually just replace the tank itself. i bought one for like 30 bucks from GM but that was with a discount. id say it shouldnt be more than 50. not too hard to replace either comes with new gaskets.

If you want another cheap solution, a decent rad. shop might be able to tig the crack, then that will at least give you a little time until you can find another one.

I think when I replaced my radiator I got one with a lifetime warranty for fairly cheap from a shop. Might want to look into that.

technically, its not. the aftermarket aluminum ones are full aluminum body radiators...not just the fins n stuff.

Thanks for all the help guys ... I'm leaving for 3 days without internet or my car, but when I get back I'll check around for prices. And I'll check if a radiator shop can give it a quick fix...

This sounds a little better. How did you purchase yours? Straight through GM? ... And considering I can see exactly where the leak is, you think a new tank is all I need? That would be awesome. I'll check this thread in a few days.
