Gears

Okay, what do you guys think:
I currently have 3.42 GM gears and i was thinking either 3.73 or 4.10 rihmond gearing. Now, keep in mind this is my daily driver and only driver, i race hgihway or from a stop. anyone recommend either of them? or mabey to even just stay with what i have now ?

i would stay at 3.42s. if you have a cam thats made to improve top end you might be okay with 3.73s, but definitely no to 4.10s.

hmmm.... depends on how u race the most, if ur racing dead stop, get u some 4.10's bc lower end, and if ur racing highway, keep what u have now, but also gas is a factor, with 4.10's ur gonna be putting a lil more gas in ur car!!! But dead stop, i would go ahead and slap u some 4.10's in her, they will get u through ur gears quicker!!!

3.42s are pretty much your ideal gearing setup for a daily driver. 3.73s are pushing it, especially if you do a lot of highway/freeway commuting, where speeds above 60 MPH are common. You'll rev quite high with 3.73s... hell, even 3.42s aren't that great for the highway.

That's why I love my 3.08s. Because of the strong powerband, I can get away with those gears and still have good acceleration.
