Got new Calipers! (pics inside)

well almost, they are getting here in another 2 hours but, I am replacing my calipers as you can see, found out that one of my pistons seized up and had torn boots and was causing the shaking and vibration, also noticed my brake fluid was really nasty, so got new synthetic DOT 3 brake fluid and got new calipers, only 100$ with turning in my old calipers. So looks like I finally finished my brake upgrade with new pads rotors and calipers, if the pulsation in my brakes still persist, then it mean im going to go lathe my rotors. Wish me luck in hopeing it was just my calipers!:banghead:

no no, i think it was my calipers that went bad, 94,000 miles on the car now...yea it was prob about time for new ones, Im about to go pick them up right now and my Rotors look fine along with my pads, like i said before the boots on the calipers were torn and looked bad and it was worth 100$ for new front calipers. But looks like it should be done and tested tonight.

Paint the calipers and brackets before you put them on. Its well worth it, and could be done in 2 days tops.

yea, i replaced them already, but it got to late to take more pics, nothing really special, just the stock calipers, it helped with most of the braking problems, but i think it caused run out on my right rotor and still causes minimal pulsation, its easy to lathe and refinish my rotor, no biggie, i might get it in and do it sometime later, all I know is the braking is so much better now. Yea I know I need to wash my car...but when it rains everyday and driving on the highway, as soon as its washed, its dirty. i will prob wash it sunday if it is decent.

Well if he warped them from the calipers, then it would.

I was just saying in matters of simplicity, turning them would be easier than bleeding your brakes and changing calipers.

I think it would be a bad idea to put cross drilled/slotted rotors on a lathe.

no its my Car, but its really hard to do anything to my car because my dad has to approve it... he owned it before me, we have had the camaro since 1998, when i was 10. It was completely stock untill he handed it over to me at 17 when i graduated and I have had it ever since. It was hard to even get a strut bar, SLP air intake. but it wasnt hard to get wheels and leather seats because thats something he always wanted to do to so its easy to do things he wanted to do but never did.
