grinding in the headlight

has any of u guys got a problem with the newer model firebird drivers headlight grinding when u shut them off or lock/unlock ur doors with the keychain. if so could u please lend me ur knowledge on how to make it quit. its annoyin the hell out of me.

If its a whine more than a grind, i'd imagine its the headlight motor going bad. I dont know for sure, considering I dont have a firechicken.

I know alot of people that carry around torque bits and a screwdriver and manually open they're headlights every night just because the motors are so expensive and a pain in the ***.

grinding is a gear typically, but for it to do it when unlocking doors is very odd

its not whineing its grinding so hard that it rattles the whole car the car. ive replaced the motor 3 times. ive checked the wiring.

the light will be all the way down when it does it. could there be a relay or a sensor that is going bad?

Yeah both of my firebirds did that its the little gear in the headlight that is slipping you need to get a new gear put in the headlight motor
