Have a question about the Transmission?

I just got this 1990 Camaro RS. Its got a vette transmission. My unlce says its already equiped for more HP, and he knowns alot about Camaros. Then i ask my firend, which knows alot about Camaros as well, if i should keep the vette transmission or take it out, he said take out, but my unlce says leave it.
What should i do? Any suggestions?

there is no difference between teh vette trans and the camaro one in reality so the difference would be minimal

yeah the only difference, if any, is probably the strength, meaning the amount of power the trans can handle, and my guess would be since the vette has more power the 700R4s that were on the vettes can handle more than the ones installed on the camaros, but the difference is probably minimal if any at all.

I still haven't seen proof, of course mines a vaccuum one on my rear drive car (the bravada doesn't count) turn the internal screw a turn or 2 and it will chirp in all gears

If the trans shifts off vac. it is not a 700 it is probally a th350! but make sure before you build teh trans up for lots of power that you have the power casue my trans will chirp like you talk about and will handle 500 horse power but I only have 230 or so. but I can not get it ot shift out of 2 into 3 If I am really on it. It will just redline in 2 and I have to let off quite a bit to get it to shift.

Hi,
If I'm not mistaken the 350 Irocs came with the Corvette
servo and 30 spline inputs.

no the "corvette servo" was only in the corvette it's just like saying you have a corvette motor if it wasn't on a vette it wasn't the same
