There's not a lot of choices for header's on the 3.4 and are they worth it? That's up to you, I felt a difference when I installed mine but the V6 still won't be a very powerfull engine so it's completely up to you.

to project camaro

i was reading the response u gave scarfonee about his post on increasing horsepower/throttle response on a 94 3.4 liter? u said u put Intake and exhaust on your old 3.4 and had an SLP intake, RKSport headers, a 3" carsound high flow cat and a good catback and that you could feel the difference. how much did u end up spending putting all this ? where did u get the SLP intake ? was it all worth it to you ?

At the time I was living at home and had a lot of extra cash so for me it was worth it but it's up to you if you really want to spend the extra money. I bought my header's and ypipe off eBay real cheap though. It was a display model used by RKSport so it had little scratches and such on it.

if your looking for the loud throaty sound like the Z's have, you won't get it..
it will sound nice at idle, but when you get up there in the rpm range it's kinda raspy...
But hey I say it's worth it.. I'm in the process of saving for an entire exhaust system..headers back..

About the car being louder; it all depends on the catback system that you go with. If you get something that doesn't have a "real muffler" like loudmouth, GMMG, or rumbler, it's definatly going to be loud. If you get something like flowmaster, magnaflow, edelbrock, etc it'll have a much more calm tone (although flowmaster is still rather loud).

I have pacesetter headers, carsound cat, and the SLP loudmouth, and I felt an increase in power. The car sounds great at idle/low RPMs, but does tend to get a raspy drone at the higher RPMS. If its something you would like to do, I say go for it. Mine (headers, cat, exhaust) was about $800 all together.

I used to have the exact same setup on my 3.8L except my cat was magnaflow. It sounded amazing untill about 3500rpms. I still live at home and my parents didn't appreciate the noise so they made me get rid of it.
