Hey....rims?
Hey i got a third gen camaro iroc and i was wondering what are the biggest rims i could put on it? Im trying to make it a show car sorta. I havent seen any Camaros around here with bigger than 18's on them but i know someone that is selling some 22's with tires real cheap and was wondering what ill have to do to put them on? would i have to lift the car and cut wheel well? about how much would that stuff cost?
thanx

as a rule of thumb, once you reach 20" the ride height of the car will rise apprx 1 inch and cant be compensated (unless you run say a 15 series tire which wont happen). 19's are even tough to fit correctly, and will give you alot of trouble even with custom billet applications. That's why most people stop at 18 - they are streetable and with the correct profile tire they dont affect height, or performance too much.
There are also other things you can do to give the illusion that the rims are bigger. For instance, my 18's have a reverse mount on them giving them almost a 4" lip on the rear rims....from many angles they look like 20's and I often get asked if they are
