Hood Liner/ Heat Protector?
 

Where do I get a new one of those heat shields that line in the hood of the car? I would love to know. :D

I'm sure someone will have one up for grabs, Thats one of the first things I did was take that ugly **** off When I still had my stock hood on.

Why do you want one?

i bought one from the dealer cost $75.00 though

my dad says he wants me to get a new one and he wont let me take it off because he says the engine heat will destroy the paint on the hood when I said it wouldnt, its his word against mine, so Im looking for one, I guess I will have to go through a dealership to get one.

i dont know how u would have u dad tell u all this stuff about ur car, do u guys both own it or something?

no, its just that it was his before mine and he always tells me, hey you should replace that heat shield...Im like ok what ever...He just want me to take care of my car properly and all that jazz...

Tell him to stay in his lane and then take it off.

Tell him it won't ruin your paint and then show him all your friends w/ Camaros not running the liner and their paint is fine. It is a noise dampener and fire suppressant. Has nothing to do w/ the paint ;)

i should take mine off , but im afraid of what it looks like under there, dads SS doesnt have it and the paint is awesome

The SS hoods don't need them because the hood is fiberglass.
