Actually the more I think about it, I am sure I am way above my first estimate..I was just thinking the big stuff...its all the little $200-350 parts that add up-

Now that I think about it, when my other car burned, I added up what it was to redo and there was 20k in aftermarket then, so I hate to think what this car is going to have.

I have about $8K into this car. $2200 was just in paint. Lots done but I find killer deals and do all the work myself. If shops were doing all the work, I bet it would be 15k-20k

Unfortunately, that's a reality that we all have to keep in mind every time we dump another $500-$5000 into it.

Our cars are only worth what someone else will pay for them. Personally, I think KBB is a joke when it comes to their value guides. I'd say NADA is probably a little more accurate when it comes to the average vehicle value, but still.......it really depends on the market "and" availability.

Some say that whatever you put into it, it's worth only half of that when trying to sell it, and others think that all the modifications make it worth less. I say neither one is right "or" wrong.........because again, it's only worth what someone will pay you for it.

I look it like this, (when it comes to "MY" car).....considering what a 96 Z28 in Excellent Condition is going for,.......the extremely low miles it has on it,...... and the round about 15K I've added to it over the last 6 months........I wouldn't take a penny less than $15,000 for it.

To be real honest,.....I doubt anybody would want to buy it right now with the gas prices the way they are, and even if they did.....It's not for sale!

Very true- but as much time and effort as I have in the car, I would sell it for the right price..And I am sure you would sell yours for the right price too!

Yeah......I guess you're right. If I got a price that I thought was worth all I've done to it,......I can think of a few other cars I'd rather have right now than mine!
