the evap is basically the gas tank vent (the canister under the hood) if it didn't purge the fumes are built up in it, and it can cause rough running (kind of like a vaccuum leak) I have only worked on one car with that problem, and it was a solenoid. The service manual tells how to check it (Caleb you have access to them don't you?)

Thanks Arch. The light hasnt come back on, so maybe it was just a one time deal for now. I have a huge .pdf on my computer at home, Im not sure if its a service manual or not, I forget, Ive only used it once... But I can check that maybe when I get back home.

Would make sense. I got the light before after I used seafoam, I figured somthing got lodged somwhere, but it went away. so it could be kind of the same situation.

didnt you say you used seafoam via the vacuum lines? maybe you disconnected one or two and put em back wrong...common and simple mistake. the way the code is worded it sounds like a vacuum hose for the evap system is routed wrong, like the inlet is on an outlet fitting or something like that.

and even though i dont care anymore, arch is right...try asking a question like this on cz28.com...you will get so bitched at

Yes I did use it before in the vacuum lines, but I did it through the brake cylinder. I was going to do it through the EVAP, but I didnt. So no, they arent connected the wrong way.

And were not on cz28.com. I asked here. Enough of bringing it back up now.

I think it was a fluke, just keep an eye on it, if it pops on make a mental note of speed, rpm, and all that other crap

A common SES for evap is when you got fuel, you didnt screw the cap on tight (Three clicks at least). Mine has done that before, and it cleared itself. HTH.
