That's a very good all-around cam. It seems to be the proven cam time and time again, although, if your really hoping to get a good jump out of cam, i'd go with a bigger one, like a 230/231 595/595 112 cam or something. How much power are you wanting to have after the cam install?

I just dont want to pay to much for gas. Since Katrina the gas over here went up to 3.20 or premium and getting worse. The bigger the more gas. I like that size not to big not to small. Just right.

The bigger the cam doesnt nessecarily mean the more gas it takes. I know people with 23x 23x cams with 600 lift that get stock like gas mileage. like 17/25 thats pretty **** good for that big of a cam, its all in the TUNE. Iff you want to go bigger than the 224 id go with the f13 or a the custom thunder cam 230/236 590 598 on a 112.

alot of people slap a big cam in and the car runs like crap, and gets horrible millage because the supporting parts aren't there (cams work at certain rpm's so gearing is important) also timing changes (gotta program teh pcm for it)most people it seems (just an observation) throw parts at ther car becasue someone else has it and his car is bad ***, not bothering with the other 100 or so things done(I know your car has alot done to it so a little bigger may not hurt either)the biggest thing is get it tuned no matter what cam you do

True, I'm looking at cams but I will go with one that isn't crazy, will upgrade the valvetrain, put new rear end gears in, and get it tuned all at once. Expensive but the only way to go.

I kinda changed my plans for a while, I rather get new rims for right now and sometime on december ill go with a new cam. Right now another Hurricane should hit the gulf again, and that will make the gas prices sky rocket because of that. That and for a cam I want to do it all at once if im going to do it at all, If I do I plan on getting new Pushrods, the cam, then drive 3 hours to get a tune.

you may want to call comp and see what they recommend also (they know more about what works than anyone on a message board since they spend million on testing each cam)
