thats what my dad jus told me, so i dont have to spend on the installation, i dont really wanna spend more than 400-but if i have to i will...this guy on another forum said i should buy this cut-out with the magnaflow and it will sound real nice, any1 have this here?http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...vid=5&pcid=101

3 in is too big (and it doesn't have 2.5 stock up to the cat) my drag car made the most hp with 2.75 (was 50 less with 3 in)

a cut out is basically a y-shaped piece that goes into a regular pipe...lemme draw something...

the cutout, when closed, lets the exhaust gases flow right out the muffler like normal. but when open the gases escape right after the headers and so does the sound. with a cutout open its much louder, and like everyone is saying about flowmaster being raspy, these cutouts are much worse. its loud, and smelly, and illegal. some expensive ones have electronic selenoids that open a valve to make opening the cutout easier, but the one you showed us needs to be opened from underneath. theres three wingnuts. so something like what he showed you is made for track use. IMO cutouts are scary on 6s. too loud and stuff.
