ah I see. I didnt see what year yours was. Youll have to do free mods, and get a new filter or somthing. I dont think theres much of a CAI for you.

*waits for 98+ guys to chime in*

Anyone had any luck with this, or have any pictures of this installed, trying to get an idea where it goes.

Dude, please dont spend 300 on an intake. Thats just retarded.

Here, maybe this will help with a little info anyway: http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...#faq_ie_intake

An intake isnt really going to do much. Youll notice it breathes a little better, but I wouldnt go over $80 for one. Its not THAT big of a difference. Wait for more 98+ v6s to chime in on what they have.

Im a '96 3.8, and put the K&N fipk made for the v8 on mine, all I did was made a neck for it. Was rather easy, I ordered a radiator hose from a desiel that had the specs I needed, cut it, and clamped it. Works perfectly. Whole kit was like 140 I think?

Ha, ebay, never found one on ebay, other than the K&N FPIK one, which according to anyone on here, wasnt worth it.

Thats the SLP one, it goes down in front of the radiator and picks up air from down there. Ran out of money, so I never got one, if you get one let me know how it works.

I just spent the extra money on the K&N FIPK CAI, works great, needs a little fabrication, but love it.

What??????????

The 98+ have the lid setup....buy a whisper lid and then make a home made cold air intake (or as for 98+ its called ram-air intake) Both together will give u noticeable gains some say its better then the intake styles on older 6 some say its the same who knows. But yea buy a whisper lid and make a ram air intake or buy one there an awsome combo and very well worth the money.

If you have a 98 get the one for 98s...the 98 intakes setup is a TAD differnt from the 99-02 models trust me...ive seen some people try to fit the wrong years and it doesnt turn out good like it should.

http://www.installuniversity.com/
they have a good help guide as far as the ram air intake setup goes.
