I've seen a tube chassis Chevette with a blown 454 in it. but stock chassis I've seen a non turbo V6 Buick engine mounted, it looked clean and worked great, but as soon as you put any power to that little rear end it's gonna break....

to do it right you'll need rear mods, cage to tie it all together... not easy.

I should also mention that at the track it was a bitch to hold the thing straight, the guy had trouble and only ran a high 10... with lots left...

I know where there is a hot air turbo buick engine that would fit in there quite nicely...

I would rather go with that hot air (pre 86) 3.8 turbo buick badassGN posted about.
After I`m finnished my buick, the next project is going to be a chevette with a turbo v6 buick.
Always liked chevettes for some stange reason and have seen some crazy engine swaps in them.
Probably one of the coolest sleepers I`ve seen is a turbo 4 cylinder svo mustang engine in one.

it includes everything you'll need, ecm and complete engine, you would need a tranny... any BOP will work... stall speed required would be around 2600

last I heard you could have it all for 1500....

Kms unknown... I heard this thing run and there were no issues, I considered a hybrid of some sort but I have enough stuff on the go...

i'd be interested in doing this swap if you want, I'm a highly skilled tech and love a challenge....

I would think being a light car, you could get away with using a stock or just above stock converter.

Stock is 2400 for the 85 I think...

I couldn't imagine a turbo engine in a Chevette....
