So, tinted side windows are totally illegal in the state of Michigan. On my way to see my buddy at the bar tonight (12:15am) I got pulled over by a police officer who informed me that my headlight was out and my tint is illegal. We leave the bar about 2:15am, and right about the same spot, I'm pulled over again, asks how much I've been drinking, etc... (not a thing tonight) and guess what? Headlight out and illegal tint!

So first, kinda pissed that the guy who sold me the car never bothered to mention that, secondly, kinda pissed that I was driving a grand total of 5 miles and got pulled over twice for the same crap.

So yeah, anyone know how to take tint off?

The adhesive that was used to put mine on was a ***** to remove. I tried windex and it wasn't strong enough for me, so I had to use rubbing alcohol mixed with goo-gone mixed with paint stripper. I had to be REALLY careful not to get it anywhere other than on the window, but it worked pretty good.

check with a tint shop, they can get stuff that works great ammonia wouldn't touch mine goo gone wouldn't either

run to advance or i think walmart, its called "tint off" its in a spray bottle its blue stuff i duno what it is but it worked for me when i was taking the tint off my old truck

If you got a ticket you dont have to pay it atleast, just go to a tint shop and have them remove the tint, then get the headlight fixed and show them the receipts and they should dissmiss the tickets.

Yeah when the sterling heights (michigan) police department decided to discriminate on me (I really was tempted to try taking it to court...) by pulling me over with 35% tint with my mom in the car and us going to my grandmas even though there was a honda civic two lanes to the left with limo all the way around, I had to remove my side tints within 10 days... on the 10th day I ripped the tint off (it's like gift wrapping plastic) and then went to the sterling heights police department, the retard behind the desk just asked "Did you remove the tint?" and I said yeah, and he said ok and signed it... he didn't even look at my car at all, I could've kept it on and gotten away with it.
