Lock up trans?
OK I have a 700r4 2200 stall and shift kit. I asked the guy I bought it from about a lock-up wiring kit for the highway when I got to atlanta. He didnt seem very fond of them he said it was a non-lock-up. I know I will get better gas milage but what are some other good points about it and do you think I should get a wiring kit for it?? Thanks for the help

Bowtie overdrives sells wiring kits to lock your tourqe converter kind of like a maunal trans when you let up of the clutch there is no slipage. and I know my friends monte has alock up and he drops like one thousand rpm when he locks it. It think that is what it does is lock the toruqe converter so it doesnt stall or slip so you get better gas milage but I a wondering if it can be done to my trans with a stall converter?

ok i dont mean to hijack the thread or anything but since we are on the topic of lockup wiring. I installed my lockup wiring in summer when i swapped to the 700r4 and the fuse in the wiring keeps blowing. any ideas?
