Long Tube Dyno Results

http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...=37694&page=11

#161 and from there talk about results, very dam impressed with them personally.

Tiago and Linxs have been working VERY hard on the long tubes for the 3.8 community and so far seem to be showing promise. Its bad enough we are starting to see some kick *** 1/4mile times from the 3.8 but now that were getting long tubes just imagine....haha.

The difference in longtubes to shorties shouldnt be enough to even overcome the variances in dyno calibration honestly. So I dont know how well you can trust that data.

Those numbers don't seem right, how can he gain that much hp by opening the cutout after installing the LT's over the open cutout without them? The gain wasn't huge from the cutout closed, I don't know something just doesn't seem right.

Heads/Cam on the motor......tune......cutout with exhaust. He has nitrous but that wasn't used on the 59rwhp gain with open cutout.

I know him, that car and his turbo v6 are both ******* beast.

I went and drove the car (usd2sings) with the Longtubes......the car is a dam beast. Very huge improvement over the regular pacesetter headers....I drove the car with both sets and wow amazing.

We also learned that his muffler is clogged as to explain the low dyno results with tha cutout closed compared to the huge increase with it open. For someone that wants to race there V6 and make it quick id say the LTs are a most....for a DD id probably stick with shortys.
