Manual Fan Switch

Hey guys,

Well, I've bought all the materials I need, and I plan on putting it in today possibly. Has anyone done it, and does anyone have some good tips? I'm wondering about the switch I bought because it seems kind of big, I just saw that they had smaller ones today at radio shack. So, if you did this, did you use a smaller switch, or a bigger one? ANY help will ease and speed up the process, so thank you in advance guys.

i did this. i got the one on ebay made for the LT1...it had a 3-way switch cuz LT1s have dual cooling. since mine doesnt i got a small radioshack 2-way switch and got rid of the LED...i forget why, but i chose not to have the LED. anyway it was easy and worth it.

you need a high amperage switch, fans draw a ton of juice

paarman97maro 06-30-2005 12:32 PM

so how does 10A at 125VAC, 6A at 250VAC rate?

this is the 2nd time ive got pissed and quit. I cannot get that **** pin out of the shifter no matter how hard I try. Then when I move to a different spot, I cant get the bolts holding the PCM loose. Ahhh! Any ideas?

that may be a bit on the light side, seems like the fans draw 10 amps I'd suggest a relay. On the pin I use a jewlers screwdriver

USE A REALY!!!! I went through 3 switches before I relised the problem. My swtiches would work for like 1 month and then the tremainal on the back would just burn out of the switch becasue it was pulling all the juice from the switch if you put in a relay it will take the power needed from the battary not you fuse panal.

how exactly do you hook them up? I was confident because i printed out several guides for putting in my fan switch, now i have no idea where this goes or how to use it... i feel like an idiot again.
