I was installing the new carb today and dropped in the distributor to see if there were any clearance issues. while the dizzy was in there I pluged in the street fire wires i bought a while back and put the looms on. I don't know if its just me of if they're supposed to be like this, but the boots that go on the distributor posts have these massive clips sticking out. am I supposed to cut them or something? I've put up some pics so you know what i'm talking about. I've got a basic 010 block sbc with a taylor dizzy, but the cap and posts look exactly like an GM hei unit so I don't know whats wrong. maybe I'm missing something?
