Whee! Took it to Midas, who were the cheapest over the phone quote. My sway bar and control arm are ****** too, so... total quote: $2880. Yeah, almost $900 more than the car. I'm debating between just fixing a little bit of it at a time, or fixing it up decent and then selling it and getting something shitty and cheap that I don't care if it's broked.

Fun stuff!

Man this thread is going long.

Alright, well, update. I had Midas fax the quote over, and the price of parts was insane! They talked to my mom yesterday since I was at a concert, so she didn't know what all was wrong. Apparently they order straight from chevy, which I was not aware of.

First off, they quoted me for new tires, which are actually in pretty good shape. So there's a total of $558 that I don't have to shell out.

Next, they quoted me $304.88 for a front sway bar. Yeah, just the front. So I'll probably end up with and SLP or a Suspension Techniques sway bar at half the price.

This is my favorite. For ONE, you heard it, ONE lower control arm... $325. I haven't been able to find a performance control bar for that price! So, I'll probably end up shelling out $155 for a pair, instead of $650.

I've really gotta get gear at home so I can do this myself, lol.

There are tons of great deals on ebay and other forums for sale sections. You could pick up tubular control arms for only like $200-$300, hotchkis sway bar for like $100-$200, and not to mention lowering springs for about $150-$200. Great upgrades and way cheaper.

yeah, the sway bar is toast. There's a lot of replacement parts at good prices, and I'll definately check ebay as well. Already replaced the ends myself $15 at murrays, but turns out the whole thing is shot. So yeah, I guess I get to upgrade my stuff anyway, just cuz it's cheaper than stock, lol.
