My dad finaly gave in !

He is finally alowing me to get my headers even thoguh i was supposed to get them for christmas and never did.

So sometime in the next week i am ordering my headers more likely from texas speed since thetre about 2o $ cheaper....

Also agreed to him buying me the r1 cocnept rotors as a late christmas present since he didnt get me the headers. getting thoughs from ebay more likely unless the site it self has less of shipping cost

but i do have a few questions.
regarding the headers i remember some1 saying they had trouble fitting the CAT....now if the y pipe is a 3" opening should i get a 3" pace setter Cat to go along with that or am i able to use the stock one.
if i need to get a new CAt thats no problem i already told him i might have to. and i will get thoughs bolts to for the 40 $

They didnt say the cat, they were talking about the EGR. Its a pain.

The cat should not be any different with these headers than stock. But the cat is definately worth upgrading while your there, huge sound difference, but as per horsepower, not much of a change.

i would go with 2.5" if it were me sometimes too big a pipe on a v6 will sound like a bus if u dont have other mods to go with it

Well I guess it depends on your mods and your exhaust size.

Im running a 3" cat and 3" exhaust, but I also have alot of powertrain mods.

I dont think it would really matter too much honestly.

If I recall, your stock y-pipe is already 3", stock cats are 3" in and 2.5" out. If you get the headers a magnaflow (carsound) cat is a must as well.

Also, 3" exhaust is basically a must on our cars if anyone says its to big just slap them because they dont know anything. I couldnt be happier with my 3" exhaust over the shity 2.5" I had before with the flowshitter.

If youre gettign pacesetters and a 3" cat, make sure you get the right one. I ran into issues with the y-pipe being the same size at the cat. Make sure you look at inside and outside diameters.

well the y pipe and the cat would both be 3in pacesetter ........319 for the headers and 115 for the 3" in/out cat back made by pacesetters......because phate was saying he has the same size and your saying not to get the same size its confusing me ahh 8/

PaceSetter doesnt make an exhaust for our car. Also, you can get there headers for much less then 319. TSP sells them for 200-225 unless your lookin to get the ceramic ones.

thats the cat u need to go with ur headers and 3" exhaust...dont get a 2.5" exhaust 3" is better.

alright that cat is what i will get but i was looing at the ceramic coated .....but i was thinkiing if it was worth it to spend the extra 1oo for ceramic, i dont think heat is really big issue but if i hear otherwise i wil get them ...and i guess i wil go with the 3in.
