My Z is FUBAR, possibly selling it.
:banghead:So as most of you know I was taking my camaro to the shop to get work done so it will pass emissions. On my way there I noticed that when I would slow to a stop and let it idle the oil pressure would drop to almost 0, along with that my idle would flucuate between 300-650rpm. So I got the the shop without any problems and when I got out of the car there were oil PUDDLES all along behind my car and down the road spaced about 2 feet apart. These weren't just like little drops...I'm talking alot of oil...I had just filled it up only a few days ago too. So it's in the shop and they aren't going to be able to work on it til monday.
After everything gets fixed I might end up selling it....I hate the thought but...I just don't know at this point. It all depends what needs to be done with the oil problem too....
Any ideas? I'm pretty much at a loss with what to do right now.

I would go to the lady's house but she won't even return my calls, even when I call from a different number or block the number.....She did lie about it running fine and passing emissions though.
I'm going to have it fixed and I might sell it because I found a 98 Z28 for 5,000$$ I don't know....

That sucks man!
But I can tell you.. If you buy a 98 z28 for $5,000 you will have allot of problems with it.
But that’s just what I think. My friend bought a EVO 1 '93 really cheap, and at first it did sound as a good deal. But now 5 months later it turned out to be a bad deal. 2 months after he bought it the engine started to make some really nasty noise and hi did not dare to drive it. When we took the engine apart we found out that several bearings was ruined, and one bearing was 5mm to wide!!! Also some of the valves vas destroyed. :S So I would rather pay some more and have recites on allot of parts and sow on.

Well I trust the guy selling the 98. My co-worker who is a mechanic is his friend so I trust my co-worker's opinion.
I don't know....I'll probably keep mine and just get it fixed

Update: Everything is fixed and it runs very nice. Now the next problem I have is the computer is putting out a code making it go into drive and shift out of 1st hard. It's like a big bump. The shop says about 400$ and I could have that problem fixed.
But it does run much much better now

Yeah, the problem is a code the computer is putting out makes the tranny shift hard into [D] (overdrive?) lol...I'm stupid with automatics so.. but it does that and when it shifts from first to second it's very rough.

the code means there is a problem inside, it won't make a hard shift

Well they say it needs a new computer and that will fix it. They say if I drive it TOO long the way it is eventually it will cause a problem in the tranny. I really don't have the money to fix it right now after that 1400$ bill.
