n2o in 305
Hey guys what do you think about a n2o setup on a '85 z28 w/ stock 305?
Dunno what kind of setup to look at suggestions? |
is it carbureted or TPI, auto/stick etc. more details would be nice, also you plan on running at the track only or what are your plans. other mods...?
|
its TPI pretty much street car. has stock everything what kinda mods am i lookin at? doing to take like a 75 shot? or should i think lower like 50?
EDIT: Automatic |
well you can go with a nozzle type kit from dynotunenitrous.com. i think the LT1 kit will work but you can call them up and ask them. or jegs or summit has the nitrous works plate kit that i hear is very good. along with the kit your gonna need a fuel pressure safety switch, blow down tube, window switch and possibly some other small things but you could run a 100 shot on it and be fine assuming the engine is in good shape. also youll want to get colder plugs for the nitrous and retard the timing a little, which is very easy on your car compared to LT1/LS1.hehe. good luck. let us know how it goes or if you got any more questions.

start low, given the age of the engine what works on a newer car may kill yours

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=18809 heres a link for ya....kinda pricy but its a big shot, i would reccomend a smaller shot than that kit. Just so you get an idea.

I'd do a compression check to see how the piston rings are doing. How many miles are on the motor?
