I was adding some antifreeze in my lt1 engine today and at the end of the dip stick was like a clump of muddy antifreeze anyone know what could be wrong.

If its a clumpy brown substance, its where there have been green and orange antifreeze mixed. Its a very unknown fact, but when you mix the two types, it creates a solid (so dumb). So flush out your system asap, and its gonna take a whole day of running water through the radiator to clean that **** out. Trust me.

If I we're you, i'd get some non abrasive cleaner and put it in there when your cleaning it if its too bad to try and break some of it up.

haha oh ok. i was like wtf and i even asked JesasaurusRex on AIM and he just laughed. lol.
Prestone makes a cleaner that gets rid of crap like that and rust supposedly. I think its about a quart for 6 bucks, you put that in after you drain everything else out and add water. It said to drive it like that for a couple days to get rid of all of it and then flush it a couple times probably.

I used the prestone stuff, it works nice. the hardest part is getting the stuff out of the resevior which all has to travel back the way it came in through a tiny *** hose. Flushing the radiator isnt hard, its just the resevior... Me and my dad ended up blowing with our mouths and forcing the stuff out of the resivoir into the radiator. It probably took me 2-3 hours total to flush it and fill it good.

yeaa i had the same problem.. it looked as if it had never been changed and was a rust in color.. drain it all out thru the resevoir and then stick a hose in the top and run your car for quit a while.. then get that radiator cleaner stuff put it in with some water and just drive it for a day or two, then do it again.. then fill it up for real.. its crazy how much **** the cleaner gets out haha.. but yea.. it takes forever.. real annoying :banghead:
