Yea put a patato chip near the battery, that adds 10.3 HP. Doritoes tend to work better.

werd to his mother.

adding a muffler, even a full catback wont give much. flowmaster mufflers dont flow much better than stock, theyre just for sound.

if you want some easy power there are free mods like the TB bypass, which IMO is the only free mod worth doing. then go for some cheap bolt ons:

lingenfelter intake for 160. most people overlook this, but its cheaper than most and has a bigger filter...no brainer.

pacesetter headers for 225. they have painted and ceramic coated. ceramic coated are by far better, but you want cheap mods. painted ones get the job done cheap.

Z28 rear end. get one from a manual. they have rear disc brakes, a limited slip dif, and 3.42s. if you got one from an auto it would have everything the same but they had two different gear sets in em...some had 3.23 which is better than stock 3.8s but they also had some with 2.73s..a step down. so its kind of a risk.

if you dont already have the Y87 package you could get a Y87 rear end. same as the manual Z28s.

AHA! Thats your prob. bro the,SLOWBASTERS. Think TURBO, also you can upgrade your heads with LS1 valvetrain ,ie valves, springs,retainers,rockers,4.8/5.3 LS1 heads use 1.890 intake valves which will work on your heads and 1.550 on the exhaust. if you decide to get your heads reworked for more flow.that would put your motor in better spot to support your power adder and other mods. i have a buddy who did this to his heads with a valve job for his turbo install,i believe he picked up a pair from 99 'maro for about 150$ at a salvage yard and i gave him some valves i had. he has a '02 firebird 5 speed.
