hello my name is adam and iam new to this forum. i own a 87 gmc jimmy safari classic full size 4x4. and thats the problem i dont know the type of jimmy i own, when ever i go buy a part from part source they ask year make and model. so i tell them 87 gmc jimmy. then they type it in and out comes the engine size then they ask if its a 3.0L v4 or 3.7L v6 or something like that but i tell them its a 5.0L 305 and they say it doesnt show that size there. then they ask if its a s10 or s15 model and those are the smaller jimmys i think, and random ppl say nice blazer. so iam really confuzed. but i was on youtube searching things and up came a few videos of jimmys that were identical to mine and they were calling them k5's. so if some one could help me out with what my jimmy is called or what i look for in magazines when buying parts, ex it says 87 gmc jimmy but i dont know if its my model. here is what it says on the vehicle. 1987 GMC jimmy safari classic, 305 5.0L. 2 door. and as for if its full sized i think so. any help will be appreciated. and if pics or the serial # is needed just ask and i will post.:thumbsup:

Do a VIN Decode tons of free places online...also check your vehicle registration should indicate model on there.
