And you wondered how i always get exhausts for cheap. I am the king of bargin shopping....lol. Any part....... anywhere, I will find the best price. :lolsign:

that is a nice looking system but i wonder how well it fits.

V6Cam 02-15-2006 09:43 PM

Yeah that is a big price jump, have you checked with other shops to see what their price would be...

Bernotas05 02-15-2006 10:06 PM

Yea thats not a bad price, id rather them exit out the back though. If i dont lower my car im goin to go true duals with chambered exhaust next, i love the sound of my LM but when i get headers id rather have a chambered exhaust.

It does sound like a little much..

Why not just try and fix the one you have now? You can get a flex pipe from Summit that will allow a little flex. That and be sure that all your mounts for the exhaust are intact. It will be a lot cheaper than the close to $900 for your custom exhaust...

Well, I've been meaning to upgrade my exhaust anyway. I have grown tired of the Flowmaster muffler. The TDs should be a little deeper & louder I hope.

Those TD setups for sale on eBay are insanely cheap......I wonder what kind of quality they are. I still just don't like the idea of dumping it before the axle for some reason though.

I'm going to head back to San Antonio this coming Monday to see what they can do. Hopefully they can explain to me why they want to charge so much.....

I think you are thinkin of something else..

The piece I am referring too is a braided steel type, not that crap from Autozone..

And Drake- I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of the slushmaster...I would too!!

Texas speed an performance offers them. It says on the website for ls1 cars however in the 93-97 section. Contact them for info. I have heard of many people running this set up from them. Pacesett lt's and their true duals. Email them, they will get back to you.

I have also heard of many lt1 guys using the 90 dollar kit from summit and then just getting longer pipes from the collectors back.
Summits site is down right now or i would give you the link.

aarontracy 02-17-2006 01:48 AM

ya 90 dollar kit sounds more my style :D

69z-28 02-17-2006 08:28 AM

true duals are over rated and a y pipe will work just as well. just my oppinion.
