hey guys.. uhmm yeaaa i dont have the Y87 package, i dont know what made you guys assume it. I do however have Auburn Limited Slip Differential (G80) aka LSD, which allow both of my rear tires to spin. I think the Y87 package came out in '96, but im not sure.. wish i had this package (Z28 Suspension). 3.42's dont mean both rear tires spin.. you need LSD for that.
So yeaaa i just want to clarify this.
NoRiceInside- i'm from northern california. The Bay Area.. San Jose to be exact. Anyways, arent you the one with a red 3.4L with ZR1's? That car is super clean!
paarman97maro- yea i do have 3.42's, i wouldnt lie to you about that. The car came stock with them.. and as for highway miles i couldnt really tell you. Im satisfied with my MPG's tho. Right now i am working on getting my transmission rebuilt (A4), but when im finished i can tell you my average MPG. Im assuming you have 3.23's and are wanting to upgrade your gears? I suggest getting 3.73's or even 4.10's. I mean my 3.42's are good and all but not that impressive.
Anyways, thanks again guys!

Well from what i hear Paar (mainly on camarov6.com) is that many people don't feel much of a difference even after a tune. I read that some dude went from 3.08 to 3.73's and got it tuned and barely felt a difference. But then again not all stock or modified V6 fbodies are exactly the same performance wise. What im trying to say is that some feel a difference and some dont when upgrading their gears.. Even if you dont feel a difference tho, you gotta hit the track to make sure your car has improved or not. Mostly likey it will but how much.. well w/e gear ratio you choose i wish you luck.
