I went to the dealership to get my oil changed becuz i have 4 oil changes for 25$ so. They gave me a free inspection. This is where it got bad. The inspection says my intake gasket and valve gaskets are leaking, serpatine belt is cracked, rack and pinion is leaking, rear pinion seal is leaking, front brakes need to be changed, high beams inop, wipers need replaced, tires soon, and they said it would be 2000$ so my dad freaked out..because he didnt want me driving a unsafe car blah blah. But i went to my friends dad who said it would only be around 300$ in parts and he could help me. So what do u guys think? how much work. not worrying about wipers, highbeams or tires

yeah the parts may be cheap... labor will suck *** on those seals and gaskets.

Seriously.

They would have to pay ME to goto a dealer. Hell, Flow Ford here is being suied because they had two tech's carrying around ice-picks and poking holes in lines and tires.

I agree about the first part and I'm seriously not suprised by the second part.


I didn't know people still went to stealerships to have work done. Even if the oil change was free I wouldn't go. Changing the oil on our cars takes like five mins from when you walk into the garage until when you walk out done.

Yeah Ill never go to a dealer, Saturn I work out there prices are up there as well and we get allot of people to come in......because of that dealers are gona continue to ask such high prices because people still come.

well sometimes they don't tell you what's wrong...my mom's foglight is broke and they never said anything on it on the like 100 point check...which foglights were listed
