ok lets say this hypothetically.. if someone wanted to hollow out a cat w/out taking it off the car would it be alright to stick something like.. lets say a metal pole... into the cat and beat the **** out of it, litterally? oh and apparently there is some kind of support group on camaroz28 for this stuttering problem seems no one can find a sure cure diff things work for diff people and some people cant seem to find any cure.

the only way I can see that you can do it with the cat on would be to have someone there and as you punch it out rev it up to blow all the bits out.

But I would just take it off and punch it out-

well i unbolted the exhaust to where i could see directly into the outlet of the cat. got my big metal pole and a hammer and set to work. after about 10 mintues of beating and about 20 minutes of pull chunks out with the needle nose i had all the big pieces out so i started it up and blew the rest out. rebolted up my exhaust, took it for a test run and its fixed! it runs so much better but i can definately say its the loudest Z around here.

Good to hear. So now your cars runs smooth, you gained some power, and it's louder. Sounds like the right solution to me

I have had a whistling noise also..Based on my personal experience I suggest checking.
1. Spark plug wires (Quality is Important)
2. Fuel Injectors
3. Cat (I doubt thats the problem.

Read through my thread http://www.projectcamaro.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=4846
Maybe your answer lies in there somewhere, My problem is fixed.
